What and who is Gaza.nu?

Gaza.nu is a Danish product search engine and a boycott tool that maps the connections between Israeli brands, products, services, companies, owners, investors, and their supporters. The platform guides Danish consumers in navigating from the broader boycott to the BDS list. Our mission is to inform and inspire responsible consumption. The website is run by volunteers but also receives feedback from consumers via email and through the website's tools.

1. About this document

This document provides insight into our boycott strategies.

2. Research

To ensure that we accurately identify the relevant brands, our research includes:

a Gathering information from reliable sources, including news articles, official reports, and trustworthy databases.

b Reviewing companies' own public statements, financial reports, and other publicly available first-party sources.

c Contacting companies, etc., to gather relevant information.

3. Criteria for Boycott

a Companies and brands are assessed individually.

b Companies with activities in Israel, including investments and physical presence, thus contributing to the Israeli economy.

c Companies that actively support or invest in Israeli interests.

d Companies that participate in or support policies or activities that oppress people and violate human rights.

e Red investors who own or have a voting stake of at least 20% in a company.

f Red investors who collectively own or have a voting stake of at least 30% in a company.

g Red investors whose ownership stake in a company constitutes at least 5% of the investor's total portfolio.

h Companies that exclusively sell products in Israel and have no other relations to the occupation, such as investments and physical presence, are generally not considered relevant on the boycott list. However, if one still wishes to boycott these companies due to their minimal relations, this can be justified and will be indicated as part of the descriptions.

i Companies that sell products within the UN’s 1967 borders will, regardless of their minimal relations, continue to be considered relevant on the boycott list.

4. Dissemination of Information

We will regularly update Gaza.nu with:

a A list of green (supported), red (boycotted), and yellow (with reservations) companies and brands.

b Information and rationale for conclusions.

5. Community

We encourage our users to:

a Contribute information and feedback via email and through the website's tools.

b Participate in peaceful and lawful boycott activities.

c Share Gaza.nu and information from Gaza.nu with their network.
