Energean is a British energy company actively participating in the occupation state’s exploitation of natural gas fields in the eastern Mediterranean (source). Through licenses and strategic support from the occupation state, Energean operates in waters where maritime border disputes, especially with Lebanon, remain unresolved, and where the occupation state’s unilateral resource exploitation undermines international law. Energean contributes to legitimizing this illegal control through commercial investments and operations. By collaborating with the occupation state in this area, Energean becomes complicit in a system that systematically violates Palestinian rights, both economically and politically.
