Although you can shop at Salling Group, you should be aware that you may find boycotted products, including fruits, vegetables, and personal care products from Israel, just like in any other supermarkets. For example, Israeli avocados are found in many Coop stores. By refraining from buying these products, you can pressure Salling Group to stop trading with them. In Denmark/EU, stores are obliged to disclose the country of origin for fruits and vegetables, and you should complain to the staff if they do not. Although Israeli products may have varying barcodes, sometimes you can spot Israeli products by barcodes starting with 729.

Background
As of April 2024, research by Salling Group has not shown that the company has activities or investments in Israel.

Salling Group owns Netto, Føtex, Bilka, Salling Storcenter, and Fætter BR. Additionally, Salling Group operates as a franchisee for both Carl's Jr. and Starbucks, and therefore also operates the Starbucks cafes located in Denmark.

Gaza.nu has reconsidered the recommendation to boycott Salling Group and instead recommends focusing on boycotting Starbucks as well as relevant products. If you still wish to boycott Salling Group due to their operation of Starbucks stores, a personal boycott can be justified, although we do not believe that an official boycott on Gaza.nu is the most effective way to pressure the company.
