In Denmark, Dagrofa operates the Dutch SPAR chain of stores as a franchise. SPAR announced in March 2024 that they will open 35 supermarkets in Israel. To pressure Dagrofa and SPAR as effectively and targeted as possible in Denmark, Gaza.nu recommends boycotting SPAR instead of boycotting the entire Dagrofa group. This way, Dagrofa can be pressured to terminate or downplay the cooperation with SPAR. However, a personal boycott of Dagrofa can be justified, and in that case, we refer to our supermarket overview for alternatives.

Israeli Goods
Although you can shop at Dagrofas stores other than SPAR, you should be aware that you may find boycotted goods, including fruits, vegetables, and care products from Israel, as is the case with all other supermarkets. Dagrofa's stores, for instance, have medjoul dates under the brand "Grøn Balance." By refraining from purchasing these products, you can pressure Dagrofa to stop trading with them. In Denmark/EU, stores are obliged to state the country of origin for fruits and vegetables, and you should complain to the staff if they do not. Although Israeli products can have varying barcodes, you can sometimes identify Israeli goods by barcodes starting with 729.
